About Us

    Ken and Tammie Walters founded Mountain View in 2000. The ranch has been in the Walters family since 1943. We open up September 1^st and hunt until December 5^th. Ken is the guy in charge, Tammie does the cooking, Brad does most all of the guiding, and his wife Sarah and daughter Raney are usually there to lend a hand.         

     Mountain View is quickly becoming one of the premier places in the world to hunt elk.  Although we have been 100% successful since we started in 2004 the hunt can be extremely challenging. Some of these bulls have been hunted hard for 4 years and have yet to be taken. The preserve consists of 1,200 acres of steep, timbered elk country and holds some of the biggest bulls in the world.  

    Everyone who has hunted with us has gone home successful and happy.  Looking forward to hunting with you in ’08.
